High school students were sent to the fire station on Clinton Street after the threat was discovered, said John Beck, general manager of the Stockbridge Area Emergency Services Authority. Most of them had left for home by 10:45 a.m.īeck said Heidrich called to tell him about the threat at 8:50 a.m. because of the threat and the Monday snow storm. Elementary students were sent home at 11:45 a.m. The district, located in the southeast corner of Ingham County, placed its elementary schools on an external lockdown "out of an abundance of caution," Heidrich said. "We're in the investigation phase right now, and we're trying to find out who's responsible for it," he said. The threat was specific, naming the high school building and including a date, Heidrich said. Stockbridge Community Schools and the Stockbridge Police Department are investigating the threat, Superintendent Karl Heidrich said.
