This is the only film starring Salman and Karisma in which they aren’t paired opposite each other. Raveena Tandon was the first choice for Sonali Bendre’s role. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was offered a role in this movie, but wasn’t able to fulfill it, Madhuri Dixit was initially offered Tabu’s role, but refused. The film stars Salman Khan, Karisma Kapoor,Saif Ali Khan, Tabu, Sonali Bendre and Mohnish Behl in the lead roles, while Alok Nath, Reema Lagoo and Neelam Kothari play pivotal supporting roles. The film was produced and distributed by the home production of Sooraj Barjatya, Rajshri Productions.
